PROSPECT — Mrs. Patricia (Doran) Molcyk, 82, of Prospect, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, Sept. 22, 2014, surrounded by her loving family. She was the widow of Thomas John Molcyk.

Mrs. Molcyk was born in Waterbury on July 10, 1932 a daughter of the late John Doran, who was the original owner of the Cave on East Main St. in Waterbury and the late Eleanor (Brewster) Doran. She was retired from Specialty Packaging, where she made many lifelong friends and formerly worked for Risdon Manufacturing. She was a communicant and a member of the Ladies Guild of St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church in Prospect and also the founder of the Prospect Girls Softball Association.
Patricia Molcyk was a devout Irish Catholic woman who had a deep faith and true pride in her heritage. She was a truly loving and devoted mother and grandmother whose family came first and foremost in her life. She also considered herself to be blessed with many dear friends with whom she also enjoyed sharing many wonderful times.

Patricia Molcyk is survived by a daughter, Kelly Cronin and her husband, Tim, of Prospect; a son, Kevin Thomas Molcyk and Rhonda Mascolo of Prospect; her beloved grandchildren, Thomas and Meghan Molcyk, Kevin and Elizabeth Molcyk, Timothy Cronin, Adam Cronin, Brady Cronin, Patrick Cronin, Shay Cronin, Joseph Mascolo and Michael Mascolo; her cherished great-grandchildren, Jace, Kole and Leighton Molcyk and Marley and Harper Molcyk and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves many dear friends including Sean Markel, who was like a son to her. She was predeceased by a son, Michael John Molcyk.

The funeral will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. from Prospect Memorial Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Road, Prospect to St. Anthony Roman Catholic Church, 4 Union City Road, Prospect for a mass at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery in Naugatuck. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Monday, Sept. 29, 2014 from 4 to 7 p.m.
