WATERBURY — Irene M. (Krulicki) Fitzpatrick, 93, widow of Joseph W. Fitzpatrick, Sr., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2014 at Abbott Terrace Health Center.
Mrs. Fitzpatrick was born in Thomaston on Aug. 27, 1921, daughter of the late Henry and Josephine (Zaporowski) Krulicki. She was a longtime Waterbury resident and had formerly worked at Seth-Thomas Clock Company. She was an avid bowler for many years in the St. Francis League and at Thomaston Lanes and Perillo Lanes in Waterbury. Irene enjoyed polka dancing and she was a communicant of the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Kathleen FitzPatrick and her granddaughter, Colleen FitzPatrick, both of Waterbury. Irene was predeceased by her son, Joseph W. FitzPatrick, Jr.
Her funeral will be held on Friday, Sept. 5, 2014 at 12:30 p.m. from the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main St., Naugatuck, to the Basilica if the Immaculate Conception, 74 West Main St., Waterbury for a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, East Main Street, Waterbury. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 11 a.m. to12 p.m.
