NAUGATUCK — Train commuters will have an opportunity to attend a forum at the old Naugatuck Train Station, 195 Water St., on Thursday at 7 p.m. to voice their concerns over the Metro-North Waterbury Branch Line.

The forum is organized by the Connecticut Commuter Rail Council and the Connecticut Department of Transportation in an effort to hear concerns from riders. DOT Commissioner James Redeker and Metro-North officials are scheduled to attend.

State Rep. Rosa Rebimbas (R-70) urged residents to attend.

“This is a great opportunity for those who regularly use the Waterbury Branch Line to have their voices heard directly by those who are in a position to do something about their concerns,” said Rebimbas in a press release. “Having input from those who experience the day-to-day operation of the line is indispensable to the effort to make improvements, and I urge all riders who are able to make the effort to be a part of the discussion.”

Those who cannot attend can address their comments and concerns with her so she can discuss them with Redeker at a meeting between him and a legislative delegation on Sept 9.
