Obituary: Paul M. Guardiani

PROSPECT — Mr. Paul M. Guardiani, 84, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2014, Saint Mary’s Hospital. He was the husband of Rose (Kieley) Guardiani.

Mr. Guardiani was born on Oct. 29, 1929, in Ansonia, a son to the late Bella Constantino. He was retired from Town Fair Tire where he had worked as a driver for 25 years, and was also the former owner of Post Office Chevron in Shelton.

Mr. Guardiani was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of the American Legion of Shelton.

Besides his wife, Rose, Mr. Guardiani is survived by a daughter, Anne Petrone and her husband, Michael, of Prospect; a brother, John Constantino of Ansonia; a granddaughter, Amber Rose Atwood; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers Joseph Guardiani, and Victor, Angelo and Domminic Constantino.

Graveside services with full military honors will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 25, 2014, at Mount St. Peter’s Cemetery, 219 New Haven Ave., Derby. Family and friends are asked to please meet directly at the cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 24, 2014, at Prospect Memorial Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Road, Prospect.
