PROSPECT — Mrs. Lore (Kopp) Mikulski, 80, of Prospect, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2014 at Waterbury Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was the loving wife for 60 years of the late Henry Mikulski.
Mrs. Mikulski was born in Germany on Oct. 22, 1933 a daughter of the late Adolf and Frida (Pfitzenmaier) Kopp. She worked for over 20 years at the Prospect Town Hall and was a communicant of St. Anthony Roman Catholic Church in Prospect. She was a loving mother and grandmother, who was affectionately known as “Oma” by her family and friends and enjoyed cooking and baking.
Mrs. Mikulski is survived by two sons, Mark Mikulski and his wife, Laurie, of Prospect and Tom Mikulski and his wife, Nancy, of Nashville, Tenn.; five grandchildren, Erica Humphreys and her husband, Robert, Justin, Jessica, Jon, and Jared Mikulski; a great-grandson, Forrest Humphreys; three siblings in Germany and several nieces and nephews.
Lore’s funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, August 11, 2014 at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony Roman Catholic Church, 4 Union City Road Prospect. Family and friends are asked to please meet directly at the church. Burial will be in Prospect Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, August 10, 2014 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Prospect Memorial Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Road, Prospect.
