Naugatuck police blotter

The Naugatuck Police Department reported the following arrests:

ALBERT SELPH, 61, of 45 Savings St., Waterbury, was charged Aug. 11 with second-degree forgery, possession of narcotics and illegally obtaining a prescription legend drug.

Police reported on Aug. 11 at approximately 2:32 p.m. Selph was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a forgery complaint made on July 18, 2014. Police reported Selph forged a prescription to illegally obtain 120 tablets of Oxycodone. Selph was given a court date of Aug. 20 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000.00 non-surety bond.

DAWN LAGRAVE, 33, of 976 New Haven Road, Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 12 with driving under the influence, traveling unreasonably fast and operation of motor vehicle when registration or license is refused, suspended or revoked.

Police reported on Aug. 12 at approximately 1:07 a.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on New Haven Road. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined LaGrave was operating under the influence of alcohol. LaGrave was given a court date of Aug. 21 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 surety bond.

WILLIAM MANTZ, 27, of 68 Jeremiah Road, Sandy Hook, was charged Aug. 14 with sixth-degree larceny, possession of controlled substance: narcotics and narcotics kept only in original container.

Police reported on Aug. 14 at approximately 10:17 a.m. Mantz was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a larceny reported on July 3, 2014 at Big Y. Police reported Mantz with an accomplice stole $62.97 worth of Red Bull. Mantz was given a court date of Aug. 27 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $150 cash only bond. While the officer conducted a property search, police reported, Mantz was found to be in possession of Suboxone. He was given a court date of Aug. 27 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 surety bond.

KATIE MANTZ, 25, 68 Jeremiah Road, Sandy Hook, was charged Aug. 14 with conspiracy at sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Aug. 14 at approximately 10:17 a.m. Mantz was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a larceny reported on July 3, 2014 at Big Y. Police reported Mantz with an accomplice stole $62.97 worth of Red Bull. Mantz was given a court date of Aug. 27 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $150 cash only bond.

CHRISTOPHER FERRY, 24, of 131 Ward St., Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 14 with disorderly conduct, third-degree assault and third-degree criminal mischief.

Police reported on Aug. 14 at approximately 4:15 p.m. Ferry turned himself in on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for domestic disturbance, between boyfriend and girlfriend, reported on Aug. 2, 2014 at 131 Ward St. During an argument, police reported, Ferry hit the victim, damaged wooden cabinets in the home and also broke a mirror on the victim’s vehicle. Ferry was given a court date of Aug. 15 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $5,000 non-surety bond.

JULIO RAMOS, 43, of 53 Conrad St., Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 15 with second-degree sexual assault, two counts of risk of injury to a child and two counts of fourth-degree sexual assault.

CURVAN FOSTER, 46, of 82 Greenwood St., Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 15 with violation of restraining order.

Police reported on Aug. 15 Foster was arrested on an active arrest warrant while he was at court. The warrant was for a violation of a restraining order reported on May 25, 2014. Police reported Foster contacted the victim through text messages, which was determined to be a violation of the order. Foster was given a court date of Aug. 15 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held for arraignment.

EDWIN LOPEZ, 41, of 10 Hawthorne Ave., Waterbury, was charged Aug. 15 with violation of protective order and third-degree assault.

Police reported on Aug. 15 at approximately 8:10 a.m. Lopez was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a domestic disturbance reported on June 24, 2014 between former boyfriend and girlfriend. During an argument, police reported, Lopez pushed the victim. The incident was in violation of an active protective order. Lopez was given a court date of Aug. 15 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $50,000 surety bond.

MATTHEW SMALL, 54, of 437 Brunswick Ave., Gardiner, was charged Aug. 15 with violation of probation.

Police reported on Aug. 15 at approximately 2:12 p.m. Small was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Small was given a court date of Aug. 18 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $200,000 court-set surety bond.

CHRISTINA VALENTI, 21, of 576B Heritage Village, Southbury, was charged Aug. 16 with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of controlled substance: narcotics.

Police reported on Aug. 16 at approximately 8:57 a.m. an officer responded to Millville Avenue for an erratic driver. During the investigation Valenti, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was found to be in possession of Heroin and hypodermic needles, police reported. Valenti was given a court date of Aug. 27 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $5,000 non-surety bond.

TRISHA WALLER, 37, of 100 Clearview Circle, Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 16 with disorderly conduct and third-degree criminal mischief.

Police reported on Aug. 16 at approximately 11:36 p.m. officers responded to 108 Fairview Ave. for a domestic disturbance between former boyfriend and girlfriend. Waller damaged personal property of the victim worth $300, police reported. Waller was given a court date of Aug. 18 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.

TIESHA TESTONE, 29, of 17 Marshall Ave., Naugatuck, was charged Aug. 17 with disorderly conduct and third-degree criminal mischief.

Police reported on Aug. 17 at approximately 2:28 a.m. officers responded to 17 Marshall Ave. for a domestic disturbance between boyfriend and girlfriend. During an argument, police reported, Testone scratched the victim’s face and broke his glasses. Testone was given a court date of Aug. 18 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.
