NAUGATUCK — A 43-year-old Naugatuck man is facing sexual assault charges after police say he performed oral sex on a boy in his early teens.
Julio Ramos, of 53 Conrad St., was arrested on a warrant Friday morning. Naugatuck police spokesman Lt. Bryan Cammarata said the assaults began in late 2013 and multiple incidents occurred through the end of the year. On at least one occasion, Ramos performed oral sex on the victim, who was an acquaintance, police said.
The victim with his family reported the sexual assault to police March 2, Cammarata said.
Police could not release many details of the case due to the nature of the charges and the age of the victim.
Ramos was charged with second-degree sexual assault, two counts of risk of injury to a child and two counts of fourth-degree sexual assault. He was held on a court-set $100,000 surety bond and scheduled to appear in Waterbury Superior Court Monday.
