PROSPECT — Mr. Armand M. Rosanelli, 90, of Prospect, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday, July 10, 2014. He was the husband, for 67 years, of Josephine M. (Marchitella) Rosanelli.

Mr. Rosanelli was born in Waterbury on Oct. 16, 1923 a son of the late Emilio and Rosaria (Varanelli) Rosanelli. He was retired from the State of Connecticut having worked most recently at the Department of Motor Vehicles and previously at the Department of Transportation and as a dog handler for the state police. He was a member of St. Anthony Roman Catholic Church in Prospect and served as a former president of the C.S.E.A. for six years. He enjoyed spending time traveling with his family and friends.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Rosanelli is survived by a daughter, Mary Ann Baer and her husband “Buddy” of Prospect; a sister, Angeline Rosanelli of Waterbury and a grandson, Daniel Baer of Prospect. He was predeceased by a brother, Henry Rosanelli.

The funeral will be held on Monday, July 14, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. from Prospect Memorial Funeral Home, 72 Waterbury Road, Prospect to Prospect Cemetery, Union City Road, Prospect for graveside services and interment at 11 a.m. A calling hour will be held on Monday, July 14, 2014 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Prospect Memorial Funeral Home.
