NAUGATUCK — Naugatuck Police say they are still investigating the death of a baby that occurred on Diamond Street in April.

The death certificate states that the death of Nylise Curtin on April 22 was an accident after her mother, Heather Brown, rolled over on her while they were co-sleeping. However, police say that does not necessarily mean that no criminal charges can be filed.

Lt. Bryan Cammarata, police spokesman, said he is not sure still whether Brown will face criminal charges as the investigation is ongoing.

Nylise was 1 month, 12 days old when she died.
