NAUGATUCK — A 62-year-old borough man was arrested after his neighbor said she saw him fondle himself and then take his pants off in view of her four young children, police said.

The incident happened about 11 a.m. Saturday on Auburn Street when the woman was playing with her children in an inflatable pool. She looked toward her neighbor’s house and saw Steven Pinto, of 189 Auburn St., standing in an open doorway fondling himself in an aggressive manner over his pants, police said. Pinto then went into his garage, started dancing around and dropped his pants, exposing his genitalia, police said.

The woman brought her children inside and called police. Police said Pinto had been drinking and kept changing his responses to their questions.

He was charged with risk of injury to a child, breach of peace and public indecency. He was held over the weekend on a $2,500 bond and was arraigned at Waterbury Superior Court on Monday.
