PLYMOUTH — Mrs. Helen (Kuchinsky) Gyurik, 98, formerly of Warren Street, Naugatuck, passed away on Sunday, June 22, 2014 at Cook-Willow Health Center. She was the widow of John Gyurik.

Mrs. Gyurik was born in Ansonia on May 10, 1916, daughter of the late Bronislaw and Michalina (Wielb) Kuchinsky. She was a graduate of St. Michael’s School in Derby. She was a longtime Naugatuck resident and a retiree of Peter Paul-Cadbury where she worked for many years.

She leaves her daughter, Janet Albrecht and her husband Martin; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter, Shirley Wassong; brothers, Joseph and Michael Kuchinsky.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 25 at 9 a.m. at St. Vincent Ferrer Church, 1006 New Haven Road. Please meet directly at church at 8:45 a.m. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Cross Street, Naugatuck. There are no calling hours. The Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald Zembruski Funeral Home has been entrusted with her arrangements.
