Naugatuck police blotter

The Naugatuck Police Department reported the following arrests:

MICHAEL MORTENSEN, 42, of 28 Kingston St., Wethersfield, was charged June 17 with second-degree failure to appear and violation of probation.

Police reported on June 17 at approximately 9:37 a.m. Mortensen was arrested on active arrest warrants. Mortensen was given a court date of June 18 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a court-set bond.

ROGER FARKAS, 40, of 43 Longview Terrace, Naugatuck, was charged June 18 with possession of child pornography.

DANIEL DESCHAINES, 26, of 77 Manners Ave., Naugatuck, was charged June 18 with four counts of third-degree burglary, fifth-degree larceny, second-degree larceny, third-degree larceny, sixth-degree larceny, four counts of second-degree criminal trespass and one count of third-degree criminal mischief.

DUSTIN MITCHELL, 31, of 305 South Eagle St., Plymouth, was charged June 19 with sixth-degree conspiracy to commit larceny.

Police reported on June 19 at approximately 1:28 p.m. Mitchell turned himself in on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a larceny complaint at Walmart reported on May 15. Police reported Mitchell drove a male accomplice to Walmart who took a 39-inch TV from the store valued at $328. When the store security confronted the accomplice, he left the TV in a cart and ran into the parking lot, police reported. Mitchell then drove the two from the parking lot, police reported. Mitchell was given a court date of July 2 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a promise to appear.

PAUL DEMIRS, 30, of 279 Spindle Hill Road, Wolcott, was charged June 19 with second-degree harassment.

Police reported on June 19 at approximately 5 p.m. Demirs was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a harassing phone call complaint made on June 9, 2014. Police reported Demirs continuously called the victim, who was a former employer, leaving harassing voicemails. Demirs was given a court date of July 2 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 surety bond.

SEAN MCCONOLGUE, 28, of 28 Anderson St., Naugatuck, was charged June 20 with second-degree threatening.

Police reported on June 20 McConologue was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for an intimidation complaint made on June 19, 2014. Police reported McConologue threatened to harm the victim, who is his girlfriend. McConologue was given a court date of June 23 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a court-set $50,000 surety bond.

SCOTT BRELSFORD, 49, of 11 Fern St., Naugatuck, was charged June 21 with driving under the influence and failure to drive in proper lane.

Police reported on June 21 at approximately 1:33 a.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Rubber Avenue. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Brelsford was operating under the influence of alcohol. Brelsford was given a court date of July 3 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

ASHLEY BUSHEY, 18, of 95 Spring St., Naugatuck, was charged June 21 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on June 21 at approximately 11:19 a.m. officers responded to 95 Spring St. for a domestic dispute between mother and daughter. During an argument, police reported, Bushey tried to forcibly take a cell phone from the victim’s hands. Bushey was given a court date of June 23 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

STEVEN PINTO, 62, of 189 Auburn St., Naugatuck, was charged June 21 with risk of injury to child, breach of peace and public indecency.

ANDRE SANCHEZ, 20, of 1070 Academy Road, Albuquerque, N.M., was charged June 21 with breach of peace and first-degree criminal trespass.

Police reported on June 21 at approximately 4:55 p.m. officers responded to 39 Horton Hill Road for a disturbance. Sanchez and another man were going door to door selling magazines. They were told several times to leave the complex by residents due to a no soliciting policy on the property, police reported. They refused to leave causing a disturbance in the complex, police reported. Sanchez was given a court date of June 23 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a promise to appear.

DYLAN HOWE, 22, of 3237 E 740th Road, Wagoner, Okla., was charged June 21 with breach of peace, first-degree criminal trespass and third-degree criminal mischief.

Police reported on June 21 at approximately 4:55 p.m. officers responded to 39 Horton Hill Road for a disturbance. Howe and another man were going door to door selling magazines. They were told several times to leave the complex by residents due to a no soliciting policy on the property, police reported. They refused to leave causing a disturbance in the complex, police reported. Howe punched a metal sign causing dents to the sign, police reported. Howe was given a court date of June 23 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a promise to appear.

MIQUEL ARROYO, 55, of 39 Horton Hill Road, Naugatuck, was charged June 22 with driving under the influence.

Police reported on June 22 at approximately 5:01 p.m. an officer responded to New Haven Road for an erratic driver. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Arroyo was operating under the influence of alcohol. Arroyo was given a court date of July 3 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

JONY FERNANDEZ, 25, of 1233 Rubber Ave. Ext., Naugatuck, was charged June 22 with third-degree assault and breach of peace.

Police reported on June 22 at approximately 10:40 p.m. officers responded to Rubber Avenue for a past assault. During an argument, police reported, Fernandez punched the victim several times. Fernandez was given a court date of July 2 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $2,500 non-surety bond.
