The Naugatuck Police Department reported the following arrests:

FRANCIS SANTO JR., 20, of 20 Diamond St., Naugatuck, was charged June 2 with five counts of first-degree failure to appear, two counts of second-degree failure to appear, two counts of third-degree forgery, second-degree identity theft, two counts of third-degree identity theft, first-degree identity theft, second-degree larceny and sixth-degree larceny.

DAVID CENTENO, 38, of 239 River St., Waterbury, was charged June 2 with sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on June 2 at approximately 3:25 p.m. officers responded to Stop & Shop for a larceny complaint. Police reported Centeno stole shrimp, Tide, meat and other merchandise totaling $438.49. Centeno was given a court date of June 3 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $2,500 surety bond.

JASON DWYER, 37, of 765 Washington Ave. Ext., Waterbury, was charged June 3 with possession of less than 4 ounces of marijuana.

Police reported on June 3 at approximately 11:15 a.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on New Haven Road. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Dwyer was found to be in possession of 2.12 ounces of marijuana. Dwyer was given a court date of June 11 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,500 surety bond.

JAMES NIENSTADT, 27, of 20 Washington St., Naugatuck, was charged June 3 with first-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on June 3 Nienstadt was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Nienstadt was given a court date of June 4 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $25,000 surety bond.

DANIEL REYES, 22, of 302 Garden St., Hartford, was charged June 4 with second-degree failure to appear

Police reported on June 4 at approximately 5:44 a.m. Reyes was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Reyes was given a court date of June 4 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $5,000 surety bond.

SHAWN SMITH, 24, of 6 Webb Road, Naugatuck, was charged June 4 with breach of peace and interfering with an officer.

Police reported on June 4 at approximately 6:03 p.m. officers responded to Sunoco Gas Station on Rubber Avenue of a disturbance. It was reported Smith was lying on the ground screaming, police reported. When officers arrived he was standing near a Kerosene pump with a lit cigarette and a lighter in his hand, police reported. He refused to comply with the officers’ commands, police reported. When the officer attempted to arrest Smith, police reported, he actively resisted. Smith was given a court date of June 5 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $2,500 surety bond.

BRUCE SHAREK, 57, of 26 Fawn Meadow Road, Naugatuck, was charged June 6 with second-degree failure to appear

Police reported on June 6 at approximately 2:53 p.m. Sharek was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Sharek was given a court date of June 5 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a court-set $500 cash bond.

TRAVIS SOVIA, 33, was charged June 5 with third-degree burglary, sixth-degree larceny and second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on June 5 Sovia was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a burglary reported on Feb. 25, 2014. Police reported Sovia entered the pool/storage room for Mattatuck Manor Apartments and stole a pressure washer and sewer snake. The items were valued at $500. Sovia was given a court date of June 6 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $25,000 surety bond. Police reported Sovia was also arrested on an active arrest warrant for second-degree failure to appear. He was given a court date of June 6 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a court-set $1,000 bond.

RAYMOND FRANCISQUINI, 24, of 168 Maple St., Naugatuck, was charged June 5 with threatening, criminal violation of protective order, third-degree assault, second-degree criminal mischief, disorderly conduct, breach of peace, interfering with an officer and risk of injury to child.

Police reported on June 5 at approximately 2:34 p.m. officers responded to 162 Maple St. for a domestic disturbance between former boyfriend and girlfriend. During an argument, police reported, Francisquini punched the victim while she was holding their child, and damaged the victim’s vehicle. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Francisquini violated a protective order. Francisquini left the apartment and hid from the officers in a nearby apartment, police reported. Francisquini was given a court date of June 6 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $50,000 surety bond.

KENNETH HUNT, 31, of 585 Park Road, Waterbury, was charged June 5 with driving under the influence and failure to obey control signal.

Police reported on June 5 at approximately 11:45 p.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Maple Street. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Hunt was operating under the influence of alcohol. Hunt was given a court date of June 12 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

BRYAN MERRITT, 25, of 47 Clinton St., Waterbury, was charged June 6 with second-degree reckless endangerment, interfering with an officer, disobeying officer signal motor vehicle, reckless driving, failure to keep plate readable, unsafe movement of stopped, standing or parked motor vehicle, attempt to commit crime and assaulting public safety/emergency personnel.

Police reported on June 6 Merritt was arrested on an active arrest warrant while he attended court. The warrant was for a motor vehicle investigation on April 6, 2014. An officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Maple Street. When the officer approached the vehicle, police reported, Merritt accelerated at a high rate of speed almost striking the officer. The officer followed the vehicle, which drove recklessly through intersections, police reported. Due to the public’s safety the pursuit was terminated, police reported. Merritt was given a court date of June 6 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held for arraignment.

SHAKEYA EVANS, 29, of 177 Cliff St., Naugatuck, was charged June 7 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on June 7 at approximately 1:27 p.m. Evans was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for domestic disturbance between roommates reported on May 27, 2014. During an argument, police reported, Evans slapped the victim in the face. Evans was given a court date of June 9 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court.

KEVIN MONAGAN, 18, of 51 Pine Hollow Drive, Middlebury, was charged June 7 with first-degree larceny, first-degree criminal attempt at larceny, second-degree criminal trover, second-degree criminal mischief, third-degree criminal trespassing, operating a school bus without the proper license classification, operating a motor vehicle without having headlights illuminated and failure to stop for a traffic signal.

GLENN MILLER, 53, of 85 Spring St., Naugatuck, was charged June 7 with sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on June 7 at approximately 2:03 p.m. an officer responded to Big Y for a shoplifting complaint. Miller was given a court date of June 9 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $10,000 surety bond.

YVETTE RAMOS, 26, of 65 Galpin St., Naugatuck, was charged June 7 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on June 7 at approximately 5:47 p.m. officers responded to 65 Galpin St. for a disturbance between roommates. During an argument, police reported, Ramos elbowed and punched the victim. Ramos was given a court date of June 9 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $2,500 non-surety bond.

DANIELLE RUFF, 39, of 166 Prospect St., Naugatuck, was charged June 7 with failure to respond to infraction.

Police reported on June 7 at approximately 8:14 p.m. Ruff turned herself in on an active arrest warrant. Ruff was given a court date of June 18 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a court set $125 cash bond.

STEVEN KNAPP, 27, of 177 Cliff St., Naugatuck, was charged June 7 with breach of peace and risk of injury to child.

Police reported on June 7 at approximately 10 p.m. officers responded to Hillside Avenue for a suspicious person complaint. Police reported Knapp approached two juvenile females who were sitting on benches at the Green. The male talked to them and grabbed at one of the juvenile’s arms, police reported. When they walked away he followed them and touched the juvenile’s back, police reported. Knapp was given a court date of June 18 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $5,000 non-surety bond.

ERIC GRIFFING, 30, of 96 Elizabeth St., Derby, was charged June 8 with possession of controlled substance: less than 4 ounces of marijuana and illegal sale of control substance.

Police reported on June 8 while investigating an unwanted party complaint on Union Street an officer conducted a protective pat down of Griffing. During the pat down, police reported, it was determined Griffing was in possession of 0.95 ounces of marijuana. Griffing was given a court date of June 18 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $5,000 surety bond.
