BEACON FALLS — The Conservation Commission used $300 of its budgeted funds to purchase new books for the Beacon Falls Library.

The books were bought to help further the commission’s goal to educate and raise awareness on the importance of conservation matters such as appreciating nature and the outdoors, respecting the environment and preserving open space.

The books include “Composting for Dummies,” “Living Green at Home” and “What Nature has Done to Us.”
