WATERBURY — Mr. Stanley Alvin Brockman, 59, of Waterbury, passed away May 1, 2014 at the Abbott Terrace Health Center.

Mr. Brockman was born in Waterbury, Nov. 4, 1954, a son of the late George Washington Brockman and the late Frances (Malloy) Brockman and was a former Naugatuck resident, since his youth. He was educated in the Naugatuck school system and was a graduate of Naugatuck High School. He continued his studies in computer technology and work for various computer companies prior to his illness. He was a member and past President of Naugatuck Aerie #640, Fraternal Order of Eagles and enjoying playing pool with his many friends.

He leaves two step-brothers, W. Joseph Reed and Douglas Reed both of Phoenix, Ariz. and one uncle, Gregg Brockman. Besides, his parents, he was predeceased by his step-mother, Viva (Pixley) (Brockman) Harris and a brother, Gerald “Duke” Brockman.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at 7 p.m. at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck, 201 Meadow St. Burial will be in Grove Cemetery, at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6 p.m. until the time of the service.
