The Naugatuck Police Department reported the following arrests:

DAVID LEE, 34, of 54 Mountain Road, New Haven, was charged May 21 with sixth-degree conspiracy at larceny and sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on May 21 at approximately 10:59 p.m. an officer responded to Walmart for a shoplifting complaint. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Lee stole $164.90 worth of Purina One dog food. He was given a court date of June 4 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

COSME SANTIAGO, 34, of 292 Hillside Ave., Waterbury, was charged May 23 with violation of probation.

Police reported on May 23 Santiago was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Santiago was given a court date of May 27 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $50,000 surety bond.

DANIEL RANZONI III, 19, of 701 Beacon Valley Road, Naugatuck, was charged May 23 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on May 23 at approximately 6:10 p.m. officers responded to 701 Beacon Valley Road Apt. 1 for a domestic disturbance between family members. During an argument, police reported, Ranzoni pushed and punched the victim. Ranzoni also broke a glass candle holder and flower planters, police reported. Ranzoni was given a court date of May 27 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

ISRAEL ZAPATA-GUERRERO, 21, of 17 Grand St., Greenwich, was charged May 23 with first-degree assault, second-degree threatening, second-degree reckless endangerment, first-degree strangulation, second-degree criminal mischief and first-degree unlawful restraint.

Police reported on May 23 at approximately 5:38 p.m. officers responded to 7 Lincoln St. for a domestic disturbance between boyfriend and girlfriend. During an argument, police reported, Zapata-Guerrero grabbed the victim by the neck and strangled her. Police reported Zapata-Guerrero took a knife the victim had in her room and threatened to harm the victim. Zapata-Guerrero then stabbed the mattress and threw the knife causing damage to a wall, police reported. Zapata-Guerrero was given a court date of May 27 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $100,000 surety bond.

SEAN PEREIRA, 32, of 179 Meadow Lark Road, Naugatuck, was charged May 25 with driving under the influence, illegal operation of motor vehicle under suspension and improper turn.

Police reported on May 25 at approximately 2:13 a.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Maple Street. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Pereira was operating under the influence of alcohol. Pereira was given a court date of June 5 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

JOSEPH MAHER, 226 Scott Road, Terryville, was charged May 25 with breach of peace and sixth-degree criminal attempt at larceny.

Police reported on May 25 Maher was arrested on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a shoplifting complaint made on March 12, 2014 at Walmart. Maher fraudulently returned merchandise, police reported. When the employee initially refused, police reported, Maher became belligerent and used profanity. Maher was given a court date of June 4 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.

PETER MARTONICK, 45, of 44 Country Hollow, Naugatuck, was charged May 25 with risk of injury to child, two counts of sixth-degree larceny, conspiracy of commission of crime and interfering with an officer.

Police reported on May 25 at approximately 12:18 p.m. an officer responded to Walmart for a shoplifting complaint. Police reported Martonick, accompanied by a juvenile, attempted to return merchandise with a false receipt. Martonick ran from the store when approached by employees, police reported. The officer located Martonick on a nearby street, and he refused to comply with the officer’s commands, police reported. Martonick was given a court date of May 27 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $10,000 surety bond.

ALEXANDER CARNEIRO, 20, of 77 Chapman Ave., Waterbury, was charged May 26 with threatening.

Police reported on May 26 at approximately 6:31 p.m. officers responded to 70 Nancy Lane for a domestic disturbance between girlfriends. During an argument, police reported, Carneiro attempted to separate the two females and threatened to harm one. Carniero was given a court date of June 4 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.

CHRISTINE HUTTON, 20, of 34 Mygatt Road, New Preston, was charged May 26 with breach of peace.

Police reported on May 26 at approximately 6:31 p.m. officers responded to 70 Nancy Lane for a domestic disturbance between girlfriends. During an argument, police reported, Hutton punched the victim. Hutton was given a court date of May 27 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $1,000 non-surety bond.

LATRISHA CHAMBERS, 33, of 92 Cherry St., Naugatuck, was charged May 27 with driving under the influence, failure to secure child under 4 years old with proper belt, failure to drive right and traveling unreasonably fast.

Police reported on May 27 at approximately 1:18 a.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on North Church Street. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Chambers was operating under the influence of alcohol. Chambers was given a court date of June 5 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 surety bond.

AMANDIO ALVES, 39, of 44 Tracy Ann Court, Naugatuck, was charged May 27 with third-degree assault.

Police reported on May 27 at approximately 6:04 p.m. an officer investigated a past domestic disturbance between boyfriend and girlfriend. During an argument, police reported, Alves slapped the victim in the face. Alves was given a court date of May 28 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $10,000. surety bond.

JESSICA WHITE, 31, of 55 Lantern Park Drive, Naugatuck, was charged May 27 with sixth-degree larceny.

Police reported on May 27 at approximately 8:28 a.m. an officer responded to Walmart for a larceny complaint. Police reported White stole a cart of merchandise totaling $209.88. White was given a court date of May 28 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $1.500 surety bond.

KARLENE FLAHERTY-SCULLY, 39, of 300 Union City Road, Naugatuck, was charged May 28 with breach of peace.

Police reported on May 28 at approximately 2:56 a.m. officers responded to 300 Union City Road for a domestic disturbance between girlfriends. During an argument occurring outside, police reported, Flaherty-Scully attempted to force the victim into the home. Flaherty-Scully was given a court date of May 27 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

KATHERINE MURPHY, 24, of 127 Scott St., Naugatuck, was charged May 28 with risk of injury to child, breach of peace, third-degree burglary and third-degree criminal mischief.

Police reported on May 28 at approximately 9:49 p.m. officers responded to 210 Scott St. for a domestic disturbance between boyfriend and girlfriend. During an argument, police reported, Murphy entered the home without permission. Murphy grabbed the victim’s face also damaged the victim’s vehicle, police reported. The incident occurred in front of their child, police reported. Murphy was given a court date of May 29 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $2,500 non-surety bond.

FREDRICK CORREA, 23, of 34 Lyons St., New Britain, was charged May 29 with driving under the influence, operation of motor vehicle when registration or license is refused, suspended or revoked and failure to obey control signal.

Police reported on May 29 at approximately 1:32 a.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Maple Street. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Correa was operating under the influence of alcohol. Correa was given a court date of June 12 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.
