To the editor,

How do you begin to say “Thank you” to all that gave to our troops that were overseas for the holidays.

“Thank you” doesn’t even begin express the generosity that was given by Melissa Dalton and her children, family and friends, who gave up exchanging and buying gifts for each other and instead made gift packages for the troops.

And the first grade Daisy Troop 64072 of Watertown — leader Kathern Gallucci, Kasey, Brianna, Sarah, Gabby, Julie, Ava, Kendra, Evelyn, Rachael, Emma, Kayla, Sophie, Jolla, Raina, Savannah — through the cookies for heroes program donated over 16 cases of Girl Scout cookies.

To Mr. and Mrs. Rossi from Stogies, Claire Bellemare, Mr. Letts, Raylene and Gary Dietz, Carol Delagrange, to Edie and her lady friends that made all the homemade cookies, to Ion bank of Naugatuck, Fitzpatrick’s Law Firm, Buckmillers, VFW Post 1946 both men and ladies auxiliary, Jajura’s Market of Waterbury, Costco, Big Y, Stop & Shop, Stephanie, Home Depot in Danbury. To Jane Coswell and most of all to all of Rick and Barbra Pynsha for making sure that we were well supplied with boxes so that the packages could be packed in, while Mr. Pysnha was battling cancer. Also the Personal Pampering clients that helped to put things together while waiting and Ed Hughes. And most of all my family, thank you for understanding.

There are so many names and so many people that want to be unknown. Thank you. Thank you all for the help and support you all have given me, with out everyone’s help this won’t have been done. Packages were sent to the medical unit in Bagram Air Base, Afghanistan, from Westover Base, Mass., and National Guard units from Coon. Thank you to all our troops.
