PROSPECT — Georgianna M. (Goudreault) Parenteau lost her fight against cancer on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at the age of 72.
She was born July 13, 1941 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Roaul and Adeline (Duprey) Goudreault. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Parenteau.
Gee Gee had been employed by Bradlees Department store for 31 years. Her love of children led her to volunteering at Andrew Avenue Elementary School in Naugatuck for over 10 years.
She is survived by one sister, Judith Coughlin and her husband Terrance. She leaves behind three daughters, Cheryl Cooper and her husband Charlie, Sandra Cook and her husband Jim, Susan Yammine and her husband Edmond, and one son, Father Raymond Cook, OMI. She also leaves three nieces and one nephew, six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, April 21, 2014 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Buckmiller Brothers Funeral Home, 26 Waterbury Road, Route 69, Prospect. A Catholic burial mass will be held Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at 10 a.m., at St. Anthony’s Church, 4 Union City Road, Prospect. Friends are asked to go directly to the church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
