NAUGATUCK — Ruth E. (Waterhouse) Seeger, 79, passed away Sunday, March 9, 2014 at Beacon Brook Health Care Center surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Seeger was born in Meriden on Nov. 29, 1934, daughter of the late Charles and Ruth Waterhouse. She was a resident of Bethany as well as Naugatuck for many years, and she enjoyed knitting, gardening and computer games. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Ruth is survived by her two sons, Paul Cook, Jr. and his wife Vickie of Greenbeck, Tenn. and Ralph Wagner and his wife Jenn of Middleton, N.Y.; her four daughters, Nancy Rompa and her husband Victor of Westminster, Colo., Mary Samoska and her husband Thomas W. Samoska of Litchfield, and Betty Occhipinti and her husband Brian of Wallingford and Lynn Walsh and her husband Ray of Bethany; 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She was also predeceased by her daughter Cynthia Louise Cook.
Her funeral will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at 10 a.m. at the Naugatuck Valley Memorial/Fitzgerald-Zembruski Funeral Home, 240 North Main St., Naugatuck. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 5 to 7 p.m.
