Naugatuck police blotter

The Naugatuck Police Department reported the following arrests:

KYLE BOTELHO, 22, of 29 Simsberry Road, Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 25 with third-degree burglary, fifth-degree larceny, third-degree assault and breach of peace.

Police reported on Feb. 25 at approximately 7:27 p.m. officers responded to 18 David St. for a burglary complaint. Police reported Botelho entered a friend’s home and stole three pairs of sneakers valued at $550. Botelho was confronted in the driveway of the victim’s home by mutual friends. Police reported Botelho pushed one of the friends to the ground. Botelho was given a court date of March 5 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 surety bond.

RICHARD PIERSALL JR., 50, of 58 Clematis Ave., Waterbury, was charged Feb. 26 with driving under the influence and failure to obey control signal.

Police reported on Feb. 26 at approximately 12:53 a.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Maple Street. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Piersall was operating under the influence of alcohol. Piersall was given a court date of March 6 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

JUSTIN TOMPKINS, 33, of 275 Evening Star Drive, Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 26 with violation or probation.

Police reported on Feb. 26 at approximately 8:02 p.m. Tompkins was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Tompkins was given a court date of Feb. 27 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a court-set $150,000 surety bond.

TEVIN PRUDEN, 22, of 54 Lounsbury St., Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 27 with failure to respond to payable violation.

Police reported on Feb. 27 at approximately 9:34 p.m. Pruden turned himself in on an active arrest warrant. Pruden was given a court date to appear at Waterbury Superior Court, court date not stated in report, and released on a $150 cash bond.

MICHAEL RUGGIERO, 35, of 12 Hoadley St., Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 28 with disorderly conduct.

Police reported on Feb. 28 at approximately 1:22 a.m. officers responded to 12 Hoadley St. for a domestic disturbance between brothers. During an argument, police reported, Ruggiero pushed the victim. Ruggiero was given a court date of Feb. 28 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a $5,000 surety bond.

JON CHRZANOWSKI, 24, of 342 City Hill St., Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 27 with fifth-degree larceny.

Police reported on Feb. 27 at approximately 10:11 a.m. Chrzanowski turned himself in on an active arrest warrant. The warrant was for a larceny reported on Dec. 26, 2013 at AutoZone. Police reported Chrzanowski was an employee of the store and committed fraudulent returns totaling $605.65. Chrzanowski was given a court date of March 12 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $250 cash bond.

SARAH CICCIO, 24, of 19 Earl St., Bristol, was charged Feb. 27 with second-degree sexual assault, illegal sexual contact with a victim under 16, risk of injury to a child and first-degree reckless endangerment.

ALONZIA MARINE, 19, of 77 Cherry St., Naugatuck, was charged Feb. 28 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Feb. 28 at approximately 7:04 p.m. Marine was arrested on an active arrest warrant. Marine was given a court date of March 3 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a court-set $1,000 surety bond.

TIFFANY WILLIAMS, 29, of 73 Addison St., Waterbury, was charged Feb. 28 with second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on Feb. 28 at approximately 7:55 p.m. Williams turned herself in on an active arrest warrant. Williams was given a court date of March 12 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a court-set $150 cash bond.

MIGUEL ACEVEDO, 44, of 36 Gilbert St., Waterbury, was charged Feb. 28 with driving under the influence and traveling unreasonably fast.

Police reported on Feb. 28 at approximately 11:48 p.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on New Haven Road. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Acevedo was operating under the influence of alcohol. Acevedo was given a court date of March 13 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

JOHN M. MCCALL JR., 19, of 4 Pond Drive, Ansonia, was charged March 1 with weapons in vehicles.

Police reported on March 1 at approximately 1:16 a.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Rubber Avenue. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined McCall was in possession of an Airsoft handgun, which fires plastic BBs. McCall was given a court date of March 12 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $2,500 surety bond.

PATRICK WAGNER, 24, of 36 Sharon Road, Beacon Falls, was charged March 2 with driving under the influence and failure to drive in proper lane.

Police reported on March 2 at approximately 2:21 a.m. officers responded to 22 Dunn Ave. for a motor vehicle accident. Police reported Wagner struck an unoccupied parked vehicle and his vehicle had rolled over onto its roof. Wagner was not injured and found standing outside the vehicle, police reported. During the investigation, police reported, it was determined Wagner was operating under the influence of alcohol. Wagner was given a court date of March 13 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

MICHAEL HASKELL, 38, of 246 Quinn St., Naugatuck, was charged March 2 with interfering with an officer and second-degree failure to appear.

Police reported on March 2 at approximately 3:46 p.m. an officer conducted a motor vehicle investigation on Old Waterbury Turnpike. Police reported Haskell, who was the passenger of the vehicle, gave the officer a false name. Haskell provided a false name due to being wanted on an active arrest warrant out of West Haven, police reported. Haskell was given a court date of March 3 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and held on a total $4,500 surety bond.

JOHN BOMBETTO, 32, of 77 Balance Rock Road, Seymour, was charged March 3 with disorderly conduct and threatening.

Police reported on March 3 at approximately 1:17 a.m. officers were dispatched to 48 Washington St. 3rd floor for a domestic disturbance between boyfriend and girlfriend. During an argument, police reported, Bombetto threatened to harm the victim. Bombetto was given a court date of March 3 to appear at Waterbury Superior Court and released on a $10,000 non-surety bond.
