NAUGATUCK — The Naugatuck Chamber of Commerce will honor Mayor Robert Mezzo with the annual Lewis A. Dibble Award.

The award is presented each year in recognition of an individual’s outstanding contributions to the business and socioeconomic well-being of Naugatuck. Mezzo, who earned his third consecutive term as mayor on Nov. 5, will be honored during the 92nd Naugatuck Chamber’s Annual Meeting and Lewis A. Dibble Awards Evening Dec. 10 at the Crystal Room at 98 School St.

Mezzo will receive the 2013 Dibble Award for his dedication and leadership to enhance economic development in the borough of Naugatuck, a release issued by the chamber stated.

Mezzo, a lifelong Naugatuck resident, graduated from Naugatuck High School in 1988. Mezzo, who is an attorney by trade, served on the Board of Mayor and Burgesses from 1999 to 2003.
