NAUGATUCK — A lone suspect robbed the Cumberland Farms on North Main Street during the early morning hours Friday.

Police said a single suspect entered the Cumberland Farms at about 3:20 a.m. wearing all black with a black scarf covering his face. The suspect displayed what appeared to be a handgun and demanded money, police said. The clerk gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of money and the suspect left, fleeing the scene in a dark-colored SUV north on Route 8.

Police said no shots were fired and no one was injured during the robbery.

The suspect was described as a white male, with a thin build. Anyone with information regarding this robbery is asked to contact the Naugatuck Police Department at (203) 729-5222. All calls can be kept confidential.
