PROSPECT — A benefit contradance and fall harvest feast for Bodhichitta Farms on Straitsville Road will be held in Bethany on Sunday.

The event will take place from noon- 6 p.m. at 312 Litchfield Turnpike. Homeowner Bill Fischer will lead the dance. It costs a suggested donation of $75 for single and $120 for couple. There is no admission charge for children.

Owners Christopher Caporaso and Whitney Miller-Caporaso are holding the fundraiser after the Planning and Zoning Commission in February forbid them from selling or displaying vegetables on their farm at Straitsville and Porter Hill roads.

The Caporasos had been running at their farm what they maintain is community-supported agriculture, or CSA. Now they take their produce to markets.

Farm fresh food and beverages will be provided by Bodhichitta Farms. There also will be a raffle. Residents are encouraged to bring an acoustic instrument and their own plate, but no plastic.

For more information, contact the Caporasos at (203) 244-4340.
