Bus tour to include stops in Beacon Falls

The Mattatuck Museum is holding a bus tour of the lower Naugatuck Valley that will include stops in Beacon Falls.

The tour will be held Oct. 28. The tour will start at 2 p.m. from the museum, 144 West Main St., Waterbury. The tour will include side trips to the “Hill” section of Beacon Falls, a planned community laid out in the early 1900s by the Landscape Firm of Frederick Law Olmsted. The bus tour will also visit Matthies Park to show the progress the town has made since it acquired this property in the 1970s.

The tour is $18 for members of the museum and $22 for nonmembers. For more information and to RSVP, call the museum at (203) 753-0381 ext. 10.
