Action council to provide prevention training

PROSPECT — The Central Naugatuck Valley Regional Action Council is providing local prevention training for Region 16 Prevention Task Force members and Prospect and Beacon Falls citizens concerned about substance abuse and related behaviors.

The goal of the training is to recruit and inform community members as the Region 16 Prevention Task Force fine tunes its efforts for the coming year. The training is designed to educate parents, teachers, officials, youth and community members on how to become a smarter collation, faster.

The program will be held Sept. 27 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Long River Middle School, 38 Columbia Ave., Prospect. For more information or to RSVP, contact Jennifer DeWitt at (203) 578-4044 or jdewitt.fic@sbcglobal.net.
