Theresa Conroy

SEYMOUR — The State Elections Enforcement Commission approved a public campaign grant for Democrat Theresa Conroy of Seymour last week.

Conroy is challenging state Rep. Len Greene in the 105th District, which covers Beacon Falls and Seymour and a portion of Ansonia.

To qualify for the Citizen’s Election Program candidates have to raise $5,000 in small contributions and have at least 150 donors that reside in the towns within their district.

Grant amounts vary. In most races, general election grant amounts are $26,850 for state representative candidates and $91,290 for state senate candidates, according to a release issued by the commission.
