Marine Corps Cpl. Tyler J. Yachymczyk has deployed to Afghanistan to serve in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
Yachymczyk is a communications chief assigned to the 5th Battalion, 11th Marine Regiment at Camp Pendleton, Calif. The corporal has served in the military for four years. He is the son of Sandra M. Yachymczyk of Naugatuck and Michael R. Yachymczyk of Bridgeport. Yachymczyk graduated in 2008 from Naugatuck High School.
