BEACON FALLS — The Lioness Club of Beacon Falls is accepting applications for a $1,000 college scholarship.
The scholarship will be awarded to a female graduating from an area high school in 2012 whose legal residence is Beacon Falls. The scholarship will be awarded to a deserving student who has proven to be an outstanding citizen and is dedicated to community service. The scholarship awarded is based on academic performance, leadership and community service. The student must plan to attend an accredited two- or four-year college, university or technical school in the fall of 2012. The recipient will be selected by a committee of Lioness Club members.
