The Whittemore Library is hosting cook book author Terry Walters.

NAUGATUCK — Author Terry Walters is coming to the Whittemore Library to share some recipes for a “clean start.”

“Clean Start” is about enjoying healthy, delicious, clean food every day,” said Walters in a prepared release. “It’s about having a relationship with food that’s not based on living up to somebody else’s ideal, or following a strict regimen. It’s simply about making healthy choices, one at a time, and doing the best that you can do.”

Eating clean is about what we can do now to make healthy choices that are simple, nutritious and delicious, she said.

“Clean Start” is Walters’ second book and features 100 new vegan and gluten-free recipes, tips, serving suggestions, and ideas for leftovers.

The Whittemore Library will host a cooking demonstration and book signing by Walters on Nov. 9 at 6:30 p.m. in the library’s Nellie Beatty Room.
