NAUGATUCK — The Naugatuck Public Works Department’s leaf collection service will run for three separate weeks.
The borough will collect leaves in 30-gallon paper bags on residents’ regular trash day during the weeks of Oct. 31 through Nov. 4, Nov. 14 through Nov. 18, and Nov. 28 through Dec. 2.

Leaves are also accepted all year at the Recycling Center, open Thursdays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Leaves must be in 30 gallon paper bags.

Along with leaves, grass clippings, pine needles, hay, flowers, and other soft yard waste can be placed in the paper lawn and leaf bags when they are brought to the center or left for curbside collection. They will be composted and turned into a usable and high quality garden product. Garbage, bottles and cans, or other trash should not be mixed with the leaves.
