NAUGATUCK — A Waterbury man is facing drug charges following an investigation into the sale of heroin in Naugatuck.

Naugatuck police executed a search warrant Wednesday morning at the home of 23-year-old Isaiah Colon, who lives in the Northwood Apartments at 140 Northridge Drive in Waterbury. Police seized 460 “folds” of heroin totaling 134 grams, 1.3 grams of crack cocaine, $9,165 in cash, five cell phones, a digital scale and packaging materials, according to police and court documents.

Police said a juvenile was home at the time officers executed the search warrant.

The arrest was the result of an ongoing investigation that has been open for less than a year, Naugatuck police spokesman Lt. Bryan Cammarata. He said the investigation is still open and police aren’t releasing specifics on it.

According to the court affidavit and application for the search warrant, a confidential informant assisted police in the investigation by making several controlled purchases of heroin in Naugatuck from Colon, who is also known as “Chino.” Police surveilled the transactions and Colon, according to the documents.
