Raymond Allen

NAUGATUCK — Raymond Allen, 65, passed away Monday, April 3, 2017 at Waterbury Hospital with his wife and daughter by his side. He was the husband of Lynn (Slivinski) Allen.

Mr. Allen was born May 21, 1951 in Norwalk, the son of the late Edwin and Marion (Gehringer) Allen. He was raised in Bridgeport and served his country during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Army. He moved to Naugatuck over 30 years ago and was very active with the Naugatuck Lodge of Elks B.P.O.E. 967. He was employed with Alloy Engineering for over 40 years.

Ray’s family would like to thank the caring and compassionate staff at Waterbury Hospital ICU.

Besides his wife of 14 years, Ray is survived by his daughter, Leah Morales and her husband, Angel, of Waterbury; his sisters, Grace Rennie of St. Cloud, Fla., Robin Allen of Ansonia and Mariann Ziembroski of Shelton; his brothers, Roland “Jim” Allen of Naugatuck, Albert Allen of Ansonia; his grandchildren, Destiny, Ella and Angel; as well as several nieces and nephews.  Besides his parents, Ray is predeceased by his brothers, Edwin and Howard.

A celebration of Ray’s life will be held on Sunday, May 21, 2017 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Naugatuck Elks Lodge, 758 Rubber Ave. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family and there are no calling hours. The Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Naugatuck is assisting with arrangements.
