The contest was open to all Naugatuck students in fourth and fifth grade. The top three winners in both grades received bicycles, which were donated by Walmart. The annual event mimics the Klondike gold rush, and is intended to test the scouts’ outdoor skills, leadership and teamwork as they earn “gold nuggets” at various stations throughout the woods.
