NAUGTUCK — The VFW Post 1946, American Legion Post 17 and the Catholic War Veterans Post 708, held a POW/MIA vigil all day Saturday, June 18 at the Gazebo on the Town Green.
Volunteers representing prisoners of war spent an hour in a bamboo cage to raise awareness about the plight of prisoners of war and the many soldiers who are still missing in action. The vigil is held annually to help ensure the government’s responsibility to continue searching for soldiers missing in action and bring them home to bring closure to their families.
