John Yandell, the grandson of Tracy S Lewis, visited and toured his Grandfather’s House in Beacon Falls November 20. John Yandell, who lives in San Francisco, was visiting the area on business and asked to see where his mother, Cynthia Lewis Jenkinson Yandell, lived as a child. Michael A Krenesky, the Municipal Historian and a Selectman for the Town of Beacon Falls, contacted Mr. Yandell as part of the research used to place the Wolfe Avenue property on the State Register of Historic Places. The State Historic Preservation Council approved the Tracy S Lewis House for its historic designation on November 3, 2010.

Born in 1920, Cynthia Lewis lived in the Beacon Falls home for only a year when her father, Tracy S. Lewis the president of the Beacon Falls Rubber Shoe Company, passed away in April 1921. Mr. Yandell had been researching his genealogy for years and the connection to Lewis Family had been a ‘missing link’ when Krenesky contacted him in June 2010.
