Woodland Regional High School

Valedictorian

  • How does it feel to have earned valedictorian honors?

“It feels quite rewarding to earn such an honor. I am very honored to receive this distinction at my school.”

  • To what to you attribute your success?

“I think a combination of effort and luck allowed me to achieve this success. Certainly there was a lot of effort involved with maintaining high grades over my four years at Woodland, but a little luck must surely have been a factor. Also I feel that the support of my parents, sister, friends, and teachers was a critical factor in my success.”

  • What are your plans after graduation?

“I plan on attending the University of Pennsylvania next year. I am currently planning on majoring in physics at Penn, but also hope to go on to law school after graduating college.”

  • What is your fondest memory of high school?

“My fondest memory is perhaps this last year of high school. From lunch every day to advisory, my friends and I had a great time, formed closer bonds than ever before, and the year itself was quite challenging yet fun.”

  • What message would you like to give your fellow graduates?

“In my speech at graduation, I sought to leave my fellow graduates with a quote from Robert Frost. I want to encourage each and every graduate to ‘take the road less traveled by.’ I graduated with a truly amazing and diverse group and so I know that if my fellow graduates take Frost’s advice, they will change the world.”
