To the editor,
This year why don’t we abandon making New Year’s resolutions that never seem successful and just ask ourselves a question, “Where will I be five years from now?” And, then listen seriously to your own answer.
If your reply is not acceptable, the ball is in your court. No one can change things better for me than me myself. Maybe it’s time to remember one of Yogi Berra’s famous sayings, “When you come to a fork in the road, take it.”
When my goal is to get a better job I might ask myself what I have to do to get one. Could it be that I need more skill, work harder or find a new employer. It’s all up to you. Happy New Year.
