To the editor,
With the acknowledgement that everyone is struggling in these economic times, the Naugatuck High School boys and girls cross country teams would like to sincerely thank the supporters who donated at our fundraisers on Sunday, Sept. 25, at the Dunkin Donuts at Meadow Street and the Dunkin Donuts at Bridge Street. We are also grateful for the generosity of Dunkin Donuts to allow us to use their locations.
The money donated will be used to reduce the costs of team warm-ups. These team sweats are a fantastic show of unity and sportsmanship. For those that have never been to a cross country meet or invitational, it is a sight to see all the teams in groups looking uniform in their respective warm-ups showing off school pride and colors. Every team checks out the styles and colors of the other schools and with the money donated our Naugatuck cross country team will look as great as they compete this season.
