To the editor,

As the chairperson of the Prospect Democratic Town Committee I would like to extend an invitation to all the registered Democrats in Prospect to consider joining the Democratic Town Committee, we currently have a few openings we would like to fill.  This is also the time we would like to begin preparations for our municipal campaign to run for office during the 2013 municipal elections.

In addition we currently have an opportunity for an interested party to serve as the Democratic alternate to the Prospect Inland-Wetland Commission. The commission normally has 16 scheduled meeting during the year, as well as periodic “site visits.”  Meetings are normally scheduled for the second and forth Monday of each month, or on the second Monday only for a particular month. All meetings are held in the lower conference room of the Prospect Town Hall, 7 p.m.  Your participation on this critical commission supports the governance and protection of the valuable and fragile resources of our town.  The commission which was established in 1974 is charged with enforcement of the Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Act.

If you have an interest in participating in your local board and commissions please contact me for further details at ecranney91@gmail.com or at (203) 758-0789
