Loading ...Letter to the editor: Communications facility poses danger to children
I was outraged while reading about the unanimously approved vote for a Clear Wire communications facility to be put on top of Maple Hill Elementary School! I will have 2 children going to that school in the near future, and I am concerned about the health and safety issues that this facility poses. This was the first I heard about the proposal & I am livid that something like this can be put on top of an elementary school. Would the board want this facility on their rooftops or on top of a building where they spend many hours of their day? Come on Naugatuck, have some common sense! I know our town is in need of money; however risking the health and safety of your residents is not the way to solve the problem. Our children, teachers, and neighbors need this proposal to be stopped. I do not want Clear Wire invading our town!
