Hawks swimmers qualify for S championships

The following Woodland swimmers and relay teams qualified Saturday for the Class S divisional finals to be held Tuesday, Nov. 17, at 7 p.m. at Wesleyan University. The heat in which the swimmers will compete is listed in parenthesis. Heats will be swum slowest (C) to fastest (A).

200 medley relay: Alyssa Maggiore, Samantha Angeloszek, Rachel Gerard, Chloe Flanagan (heat B)

200 freestyle: Katie-Jean Hinckley (heat B)

50 freestyle: Jill Pagoni (heat A)

100 freestyle: Pagoni (heat B)

500 freestyle: Hinckley (heat A)

200 freestyle relay: Pagoni, Syndey Corneau, Emily Soulier, Hinckley (heat B)

100 breaststroke: Angeloszek (heat C)

400 freestyle relay: Pagoni, Corneau, Soulier, Hinckley (heat B)

Class S diving championship was held Thursday at Plainville High School. Hawks sophomore Dayna Chucta placed eighth with a score of 283.95, and senior Elizabeth Patrick finished 19^th with a 176.10. Christina Brasco of Weston won the event with a score of 384.15.
